Plot
Da Gama kings came to India from Portugal. Barroz is their loyal lieutenant. The Da Gama king appoints Barroz to preserve their treasure. Per his order, he stays there and protects the treasure for 400 years. Will he get the salvation? Why did he become a ghost? Did anyone try to steal the treasure? What is Isabella’s connection to Barroz? All these questions are answered in the rest of the story.
Star Performance
The Complete Actor once again proves his versatility. He excels in emotional scenes. His performances as the royal lieutenant and the ghost are impressive. Esha, the kid, has done a good job. Mohanlal and Esha’s chemistry is admirable.
Analysis
It is a decent fantasy story with all the entertaining elements. Yet, Lalettan should have picked a different script for his debut. The film starts with an interesting pace, which promises a good follow-up. We should appreciate Lalettan’s excellent narration. However, the story loses its pace after a few scenes, making the audience guess the rest. Barroz has a solid technical side with excellent VFX works, visuals, and music. The 3D works are exciting and help the audience enjoy the visuals throughout. Yet, if the script had been chosen well, it would have impressed better. Another excellent thing about the director is that he has grabbed the complete potential of the actors.

Verdict
Despite the flaws, the film has an impressive set of actors performing naturally. Mohanlal succeeded in his attempt as a director. As an actor, he continues to impress the audience. If you are a Mohanlal fan, you’ll definitely love it. Kids will definitely love the film!
